Student Course Evaluation Comments
From RELI 215 / HUMA 210, Major World Religions (HCC)
“Dr. Miller is one of my all time favorite professors; he spent literal hours discussing material with me outside of class in a way that allowed me to engage with the material in an even deeper way, and even aside from that I learned so much from his class."
"Adam is a wonderful instructor. He developed relationships with student[s] in the classroom and out. He shows a strong interest in the subject and wants the class to understand the material. His slides are easy to read! Class discussion was nice and helpful in understanding the material. Read[ing] assignments were not hard to accomplish."
"This instructor shared the information very clearly and explained each topic in a way I could understand. He was more concerned about the quality of learning that occur[r]ed, not the quantity, and wanted to make sure everyone understood what was taught, which was a change from some other professors."
"Class discussions were encouraged, and I enjoyed talking with my classmates. He graded in a timely manner and responded well to questions we had. He seemed passionate about the subject, so I think it made it easier to want to learn. Gave us good feedback on assignments as well."
"Easy to learn from, easy to talk to, effective."

“Honestly, this was one of the best classes I have taken since attending CMU. It was challenging, thought provoking, and created opportunities to apply the information to current life issues. I am leaving this class feeling as if I have learned something worthwhile and will use the information for life.”
“I have been at CMU for several years and have had few instructors who provided feedback every week. I felt the professor in this course went above and beyond, not only did he give feedback, but he also encouraged me to consider alternative ideas, and provided additional information when I told him in my posts that I was struggling with a topic. Overall I was very pleased with this course, mostly due to the instructors performance”
“Adam Miller is a very personable, professional instructor who is dedicated to students learning the objectives in the course. He is fair and consistent in grading and evaluation of assignments and posts required. Feedback given by instructor assisted me to obtain greater understanding and knowledge of material as well as related to world experiences. I am highly impressed with this instructor and would be compelled to learn more about this subject in the future. It should be also said that I was not excited nor did I want to take this course, but it was required and now I find myself very interested in the subject matter.”
“Miller was probably the best, and most dedicated teacher I've had for online schooling, ever. I came into this class genuinely dreading it. I love this class—and I'm going to miss it. Adam miller does great to inspire and educate his students, and somehow get to know them at a personal level through even with it being exclusively online.”
“I loved what a challenge this class was. It may sound odd, but some students might enroll in this class thinking it is an easy get by kinda class, but it isn't. The way that it shaped, encourages students to use their creativity and apply effort to completing the class assignments. It was nice to take a class in which I didn't have to just type a brief forum post, but was encouraged to use resources and take the time to understand what the lesson was really about. I greatly enjoyed this class and I would encourage others to do so. Thank you!”
